Fish Taco TKO

San Diegans love their food and beverages and we here at Hello Betty are no exception! In honor of this affinity for culinary pleasures, every year San Diego hosts the San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival. This weeklong event is composed of many different parties for restaurants and chefs to showcase their food and give attendees a chance to try new places and food. This year Hello Betty was proud to participate in the Fish Taco TKO at the Broadway Pier in San Diego. Our Chef Jared and staff competed against over a dozen other restaurants, serving up our signature Smoked Fish Tacos. This delicious blend of fish is smoked and brined in house and served up with jack cheese, cabbage, pico, and chipotle aioli! We cooked these tacos up right in front of our guests, providing them with a hot, fresh, and delicious fish taco. The event turned out to be a great success and we were fortunate enough to get rave reviews and feedback from attendees. We also took the opportunity to spread the Betty love and invite “Southern” San Diegans who weren’t familiar with us up to North County to visit! The experience was also amplified by getting to mingle with other restaurants and chefs, talking about what we all love about tacos and being a part of the San Diego food scene. While Hello Betty didn’t win the grand prize, we managed to capture smiles and found many guests returning for seconds and thirds. So I guess you could say it was indeed a knockout of an event! We can’t wait for next year!
